Anatomy Yoga with Liz Salter

Liz  and her skeleton assistant, Pat, offer their Anatomy Yoga, Saturday, February 29th.

The Hips and SI Joint ~ 10:30AM - 12:30PM.  The base of the spine and the back of the hip come together to create the dynamic SI Joint, needing both mobility and stability to mitigate forces above and below.  In this class we will look at the movements of the hip and SI joint and how we can become restricted in our spinal twists when we are restricted there.

The Spine and Facet Joints ~ 2:30PM - 4:30PM.  Every vertebrae of the spine in shaped just a little bit differently, which allows for a large range of motion when our spine is free.  In this class will explore how the facet joints move at each segment and how to maximize our twists by utilizing the obliques and our breath to create greater length and range.

Both classes include interactive lectures and gentle yoga practices.  All levels are welcome.  Please, no acute injuries.
