Strengthen Your Legs, Strengthen Your Spine

12:30-3:30pm

The power that standing poses cultivate in your legs doesn't merely stay there.  The legs support the pelvis and the pelvis supports the spine.  The stronger your legs are, the stronger your spine. Learn to use standing poses to develop a poised stance and dignified carriage.

Purna Yoga Nidra

5:00pm - 8:00pm

The mind, body and emotions are most effectively brought to rest in the still depths of consciousness when Shavasana is done progressively and systematically.  Purna Yoga Nidra is unique among all the Yoga Nidras in that you focus on and create powerful internal connections to Spirit to help manifest your dreams.

Free Your Neck, Shoulders, Upper Back

10:00-1:00pm

Most of us carry tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back.  Because we hold tension in our necks and shoulders, we shrink blood vessels and thereby create pain and stiffness in this area, often leading to headaches and fatigue.  This tension in our upper spine reduces our ability to think clearly, to communicate with ourselves and others, and express what we need to say.  Students will learn simple and easy innovations for releasing tension in these key areas to promote a stronger and clearer mind-body connection.

Dynamic Digestion

2:30pm-5:30pm
In Ayurveda, the mother of all disease is a faulty digestive system. Even in Chinese nutrition, digestion is represented by the earth element. It is said that the root cause of all our illness stems from improper digestion. Aadil will teach a few asana that enhance digestion and increase agni, the digestive fire and explain how food combining affects digestion.
All Levels
In this workshop you will understand:

·        How to cultivate an enhanced digestive system using asana and pranayama

·        The impact of psychology on digestion

·        The power of probiotics

·        The importance of the quality and sourcing of food

You will learn:

·        What should be eaten based upon your individual constitution

·        How food should be eaten

·        When and how often you should eat

·        Where is the best place to eat

Purna Yoga Healing the Eyes Workshop

10:00-1:00pm

The eyes are the windows to the soul. Strengthening and protecting the eyes helps not only in reading and seeing, but enhances memory as well as relaxes tension in the face and neck. After many years of study, Aadil has learned how to synthesize the various techniques from many cultures to enhance vision, improve memory, and relax the stress in the eyes.

This workshop will teach you how to regenerate the eyes, thereby improving vision that was previously poor. It is also critical for people with good vision as a preventive measure to maintain good vision for life.

In this workshop, Aadil will teach both famed and secret techniques for relieving stress in the eyes, increasing energy flow to the eyes, and helping the eyes heal and restore vision clarity.

Relax Your Body, Focus Your Mind, Shine From Your Spirit

Our DNA actually shrinks when we are under stress. Our body becomes tighter and we age rapidly. Stress also creates a scattered mind and prevents access to our own inner Divinity. Learn Purna Yoga techniques to help you relax and renew your body, develop mental focus, and connect with your luminous Spirit to keep you young and revitalized. By the end of the day, you'll have a basket full of tricks to joyously confront the vicissitudes of life.

Aadil Palkhivala is one of the world's top yoga teachers, and, for over thirty years, has had the reputation as a "teacher of teachers".   He began his studies with B.K.S. Iyengar at the age of 7, was awarded the Advanced Yoga Teacher's Certificate from Iyengar at the age of twenty-two and has been training yoga teachers in India, Europe and the United States since 1976.  Aadil writes for Yoga Journal Magazine and has been an "Asana Expert" for both the magazine and the website.  He is frequently a keynote speaker on topics such as stress and holistic health and teaches at the Omega Institute, Yoga Journal, the Himalaya Institute Kripalu and other well-known conferences, festivals and venues nationally and internationally.  Aadil is the author of "Fire of Love", a book that seeks to restore the essence of yoga. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of health matters, having studied both alternative health and Ayurveda, and was a clinical hypnotherapist. In addition, Aadil has degrees in physics, math, and law. Aadil and his wife, Savitri, are the founders and directors of internationally-renowned Alive and Shine Center (tm) in Bellevue, Washington and The College of Purna Yoga (tm), a 200-hour, 500-hour, and 2,000-hour Teacher Training Program.
