Teaching Skills Workshop with Suzanne Newton and Terry Brown - April 10th
This Teaching Skills Workshop with Suzanne Newton, E-RYT 500 and Terry Brown, E-RYT 500 is part of Triad Yoga's 500 Hour Teacher Training and Continuing Education Program and will be held Saturday, April 10th from 8:30am-12:30pm and 1:30pm-5:30pm.

This workshop is a requirement for Triad Yoga's 500 Hour Teacher Training Program, but is also available for all teachers that are ready to enhance their teaching skills. Effective teaching is important to assist students in the discovery of physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga. Our role as teachers is much broader than simply demonstrating postures and giving a few instructions.

The goal of this workshop is to not only offer tools, but to help yoga instructors build confidence in teaching their art.

This workshop will review and cover the following topics:
-Using your voice and words effectively
-When and how to demonstrate asana or pranayama
-Observing and responding to your students
-Adjusting students: who, what, when, where, and why
-Integrating philosophy, psychology, and physicality

Suzanne and Terry have each studied and practiced yoga for over 25 years. Suzanne, owner of New Garden Yoga, has studied primarily with Patricia Walden, Senior Iyengar Teacher. Terry's main teacher is Aadil Palkhivala, co-founder of Purna Yoga. Together, the have co-directed Triad Yoga's 500 Hour Teacher Training and Continuing Education Program for 4 years.

Full Workshop Fee: $110. Early registration by April 3rd: $90.
